Direct booking website template for short-term rentals
Hosts do not need a custom agency site to take direct bookings. They need a template shaped like a listing page guests already trust: hero photo, dates, price, and the details that prevent “quick questions.”
What a good template includes
Skip brochure fluff. A direct booking template should mirror how people book on Airbnb or Vrbo: decide from photos, check dates and price, then confirm house basics.
1. Full-bleed hero + one CTA
City or home photo edge to edge. One title, one short line, one “Book your stay” button that jumps to the date bar.
2. Booking bar
Check-in, check-out, guests, nightly rate, cleaning fee, min nights. Guests should see the total for their dates before they pay, not a vague “contact for quote.”
3. Gallery
A short set of interiors and outdoor shots. Quality beats a 40-image dump.
4. Amenities
Wi‑Fi, kitchen, parking, workspace, self check-in. Icons guests can scan in seconds.
5. About the stay
Who the home is for, sleep setup, vibe. Keep it honest; overselling creates support messages.
6. Neighborhood
Walkability, transit, nearby food. Same job as a good local guide in your welcome book.
7. Things to know
House rules, check-in / check-out times, stay basics (noise, parking, parties). This is the section guests actually need after they fall in love with the photos.
8. Reviews (optional)
A few real quotes. Empty review theater hurts trust more than no section.
Copy-ready outline
Hero title: “Bright loft near the river”
Supporting line: “King bed · Fast Wi‑Fi · Walk to cafés”
Book CTA: “Book your stay”
Things to know: Quiet hours 22:00 to 08:00 · Check-in after 15:00 · Checkout by 11:00 · No parties
Template mistakes that kill bookings
- Price buried below long story text
- No blocked dates (double-booking risk)
- “Contact us” instead of checkout
- Desktop-only layout guests cannot use on mobile
- Missing rules until after payment
Static PDF vs live template
A Canva “booking page” PDF cannot take dates or payments. A live template updates rates once and shares as a link. Same lesson as printed vs digital welcome books: the master copy has to live online.
How welcomein.to fits
welcomein.to Direct ships a Residence stay template with the sections above. You fill content, connect Stripe, and publish at welcomein.to/stay/your-slug. Pair it with a welcome book for after the booking.
